We want you to be confident in your purchase. That is why every new subscription starts with a full-featured 30-day free trial: you enter payment details at checkout, but your card is not charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any time before it ends to avoid being charged at all.
Because the free trial serves as our try-before-you-buy, we do not generally issue refunds for subscription fees once charged. This page explains what that means in practice, and the specific situations in which we will issue a refund.
1. Your free trial
When you start a subscription you enter valid payment details and your account immediately gets 30 days of full member access. Your card is not charged during the trial. You can create and review card sets, generate AI-assisted images / descriptions / audio, and decide whether to continue with LittleCards.
If you do not cancel before the end of the 30-day trial, your card is automatically charged for the plan you selected (currently $4.99/month or $49.99/year) and your subscription renews at that interval until you cancel. You can cancel at any time during the trial from your billing settings — immediately, with a single click — and you will retain trial access through the remainder of the 30-day period without being charged.
3. Our standard refund policy
We do not normally issue refunds for subscription fees. The 30-day free trial is specifically intended to let you evaluate the product before paying; once your trial ends and your card is charged, that charge is non-refundable except as set out below. Specifically:
- We do not refund the first charge that follows a free trial for users who forgot to cancel. You had the full 30-day trial to evaluate the product, and you can still cancel to stop future renewals.
- We do not refund for the current billing period when you cancel. You keep paid access for the remainder of the period you already paid for.
- We do not refund unused portions of a monthly or annual plan, including for non-use, partial use, or forgetting to cancel before renewal.
- We do not refund for differences in AI-generated output quality. AI generation depends on third-party models whose output is inherently variable; you can review generated content before using it.
4. When we will issue a refund
We will issue a refund in the following situations:
- Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you were charged twice for the same billing period, or charged after a successful cancellation, we will refund the extra charge.
- Material service failure. If the paid service was completely unavailable for an extended period due to a fault on our side and we were unable to restore access, we may refund the affected portion of your subscription on request.
- Statutory consumer rights. If you live in a jurisdiction that gives you a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period (for example, certain EU / UK consumers entering into distance-sold digital services), we honor those rights in full. Contact us to exercise them.
- Payment provider requirements. Our payment provider may require us to honor specific refund cases under its own terms; we will comply with any such requirements that exceed this policy.
5. How to request a refund
Contact us at support@littlecards.app with your account email, the date of the charge, and the reason for the request. Please allow up to 10 business days for us to review and respond, and up to an additional 5–10 business days for your bank or card network to post the refund after it is issued.
6. Payment provider
Payments are currently processed by Paddle. This policy is administered by us and governs refund requests between you and LittleCards.
Paddle also acts as the merchant of record for your purchase — meaning they are the legal seller and are responsible for collecting sales tax / VAT in your jurisdiction. In addition to this policy, Paddle applies its own refund policy at the point of sale, which currently allows a buyer to request a refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. If Paddle's policy is more favorable to you than ours for a given charge, the more favorable outcome applies.
You can request a Paddle-administered refund directly from Paddle by following the link in your purchase receipt email, or by contacting us at support@littlecards.app.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback with your bank before contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
8. Price in your currency
Subscriptions are billed in USD. If your payment method is denominated in another currency, your bank or card network will convert the charge at their exchange rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee — we have no control over these conversions or fees and cannot refund them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply only to charges made after the updated policy's effective date; any charge made before the update will continue to be governed by the policy in effect at that time.
